As a Senior Manager of Enterprise Design Systems, I lead digital experience design, shaping design strategy and process, with a strong focus in systems thinking, holistic user experiences, user research and accessibility.
As part of my current role at CVS Health, I lead a team of designers to deliver flexible, accessible and reusable UI components, patterns, and usage documentation. I also manage the product roadmap and feature prioritization based on collective business objectives, systems need, feasibility, and viability. I facilitated our design process that supports a high level of craftsmanship across the design system, while also developing trusted partnerships with stakeholders for alignment, collaboration, and design system adoption.
Specific to my last role at Bottomline Technologies, I facilitated all UX research & designed system components, patterns, and end-to-end user experiences for the Legal Spend Management SaaS product line, embodying agile & design thinking methodologies, partnering UX, Product & IT for business & user goal alignment. I also lead an organization wide UX convergence efforts that bring all lines of business together to review work, generate ideas, and collaborate on upcoming projects.
Previously, at Liberty Mutual, I established enterprise design system components and foundational design styles including iconography and illustration through strategic partnership with Brand, Marketing, and Digital. Some of my notable successes include the management and mentoring of junior designers to provide feedback and support for their development, along with strategic cross-journey initiatives. Some examples of those initiatives include persona development, customer journey mapping, card sorting exercises, accessibility testing, logo development, moderated & unmoderated usability studies, and organizing and facilitating UX team design reviews.
I have been successful in my role because I utilize a variety of user research methods, while creating a collaborative environment for brainstorming and support. I thrive off open communication for transparency and alignment, encouraging and empowering others. I am also a proponent of user testing early and often, organizing team involvement in planning, facilitation and observation, feedback synthesis and prototype iteration. I keep my skill set current with conferences, trainings, and fresh design trends and experiences that our customers are seeking.
With more than 19 years in the design field, I am adept in strategic and conceptual design, user research, effective collaboration, and communication which are key in creating successful products.
